Overview
The Boeing 747-8F is the latest and largest freighter version of the 747 family, with a stretched fuselage compared to the 747-400F. It offers the best payload in the range at 134 t for 858 m3 of volume.
Launched in the early 2010s, the 747-8F features new-generation GEnx engines, quieter and more fuel-efficient than those of the 747-400F, along with a stretched fuselage offering more usable volume.
It retains the characteristic hinged nose of the 747 family, allowing frontal loading of long items such as aircraft sections, industrial machinery or space equipment.
